On the anniversary of her passing Thembi Mtshali-Jones will be performing her award winning one woman play " Mother to Mother' at The Artscape Theatre. Poignant and powerful, Mother to Mother returns to the Artscape stage . This intimate portrayal of a mother struggling to come to terms with the actions of her son is written by celebrated author Dr Sindiwe Magona, and is a deeply moving story of forgiveness and reconciliation. The production has toured widely, receiving 4 and 5 star reviews at last year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and playing to sold out houses at the Afrovibes Festival in the Netherlands and the UK. Please join us on the evening to celebrate the life of Amy Biehl and the Foundations great work.
The Amy Biehl Foundation is also set to host their sixth annual Youth Spirit Awards and Memorial Lecture on Tuesday 27th August. The event will be held at the University of the Western Cape, and will pay homage to exceptional youngsters in the area who are dedicated and committed to helping others. Our Keynote speaker is Trevor Manuel with a guest address done by Linda Biehl.
